After seeing both Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts take their talents to the West Coast in recent offseasons, the Boston Red Sox needed to make sure that two-time All-Star Rafael Devers didn't skip town. On Wednesday, they did just that, signing the 26-year-old third baseman to a massive 11-year, $331 million extension that will keep him in Boston through the foreseeable future. With Devers now the centerpiece of the Red Sox offense, the team can start trying to build a contender around him. Still, fans are clearly unhappy about their team taking a step back over the last few months, and given how competitive the AL East has become top to bottom, the Boston faithful may not see the Sox play any meaningful October baseball any time soon.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. Devers was one of 43 MLB players who received at least one vote for either AL or NL MVP in 2022. So with that in mind, how many of the 43 MVP vote-getters can you name in six minutes?
